Let's face it - the only reason you buy this product is,1. You need an extra charger2. You lost your old charger3. Your old charger quit/broke/was stolen, etc.I noticed my charger (NiMh only version) was no longer charging, indicator light never came on. Of course I found this out right as I needed my PC battery-operated tools. Luckily I was able to borrow a corded tool to finish the job, and then went to the local chain store to buy a new charger. It was more expensive than here on Amazon, for the NiMh only version. I do not yet own any Lithium batteries for my PC tools, but I will probably replace the NiMh batteries with Lithium when they finally die, so I like the flexibility offered by this charger. Thanks to Prime, I had the new charger in hand before I needed my tools again. Batteries charged, ready to go. If you're already invested in the PC tool system, this charger works just as you'd expect and thus makes a great spare or replacement. Would be even better at half the cost, but cheaper at this point to replace it than buy all new tools & batteries from a different brand.
