Perfect size for coffee or tea -- the rim goes in a little at the top so beverages stay hot longer (some mugs flair out). They aren't too heavy so they are very comfortable to hold and drink from. There's a little indentation at the top of the handle where you can put your thumb. Everybody loves them and asks where I got them!
