If you own a Panasonic camera, which is why you would purchase this charger in the first place, you really do need this item! This cuts battery charging to a tiny fraction of the time it takes to charge it by connecting your camera to a computer to charge the battery. If you have multiple batteries, you can charge one while you use the charged battery, which is convenient. The price for this charger was half the price of purchasing from Panasonic--very same charger!
