It will not charge the phone. I had to purchase a charger while on vacation.I was so tired of traveling with multiple chargers for my iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch that I decided to look for a single charger that could charge all three devices at the same time. Fortunately, I found this Magnetic charging pad that fit the bill. Now, I can charge my iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch with one charger, which also folds nicely and compact for traveling purposes. The charger is made from a nice white vinyl and feels really soft and smooth to the touch. When fully opened, the unit is about 10" wide by 3" deep. When folded, the charger measures about 3" by 3" and is about the size of an iMac charging plug. The Apple Watch portion of the charging station, is raised a little less than 1/4" above the other two charging stations and has a nice ring light that you can tap twice to turn off and on. A great feature if you need to look at the charger or something close to it in middle of the night without having to turn on the lights.The Apple Watch portion of the charging station sits in the middle of the other two charging stations. Opposite the on/off light for the Apple Watch charging station are two indicator lights that indicate whether your Iphone or AirPods are charging. When red, that indicates the unit is not charging anything, compared to when it is blue, which means the device is properly charging. The charger seems to charge along the same time frame as standard Apple chargers. Although, the devices do appear to get a tad bit warmer when charged on this unit compared to the Apple Chargers, this did not cause me any concern, as they do not get hot, just slightly warmer. This charger is just what I was looking for in a travel charger. I no longer have to travel with three separate chargers, as this wireless charger replaces three separate chargers and does it quite effectively for the money.Don’t shell out for Apples duo charger, save your money and get this awesome travel charger instead. It does MagSafe for your phone, and also charges your watch and AirPods at the same time. Not to mention it folds up magnetically when you’re ready to pack it up. For only $40 this charger is a steal compared to the other travel chargers out there.This charger also has a night light on it, which I didn’t really care too much about at first, but it’s actually been kind of useful. There is a light symbol on the Apple Watch charging section, that at first looks like a press-able button. It is not a button though, I tried pressing and clicking several times, until I eventually realized a quick double tap on the symbol will turn the light on. It also has two brightnesses to suit the lighting you’re in. Unfortunately the light button is right underneath where the Apple Watch band would stick out if you were charging it, so you do kind of have to push the band out of the way to hit the light on.I do like the light, but I hope that isn’t the only reason the Apple Watch charger sticks out so much from the pad. This is my main complaint about this charger, that the Apple Watch charger is a bit obtrusive. If it could have laid flush against the charging pad, this thing would fit super easy in any bag, but unfortunately it makes the shape of the charger a bit awkward. It’s not too big where you can’t travel with it, it should still pack up nicely, but it just has a bit of a bulge there that you have to be mindful of.Another thing to note is the indicator lights that tell you if something is charging or not. The will either be an orange/red color or blue, and I don’t think they are obnoxiously bright or anything, but if you like it pitch black when sleeping, you may want to cover them up with something. And also, for the QI/non-magnetic charger, if you place something on it and move it so that is stops charging, wait until the indicator light turns off after 3 seconds before placing it back on or else it won’t start charging again.Update:Replaced the unit and the new one works great no more slow charging or flickering, seema like I received a defective unit the first time. But I no longer have issues with it, I highly recommend it.--------This Wireless Charger Pad is good! I like that it can charge my phone, Apple watch, and AirPods all at the same time. It's so convenient and easy to use. The wireless charging is not fast but efficient only if you use a strong charger with it, like quick charge 3.0 or above, otherwise it will be very slow and can actually ruin your phone's battery. I like the little night light feature, but I've noticed when I charge my phone and use the night light at the same time, it flickers so bad. I was a little hesitant at first, but it works great. This charging pad charges all three devices at the same time! It's so convenient and fast. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone but only use it with strong charger and don't use the night light feature.I wanted something for travel and this was it. I love that it folds and the whole thing feels so well made. I also love the small night light detail which has a touch on/off button. It does make the whole thing thicker than needed for travel so keep that in mind. It does not fast charge your devices so that’s unfortunate. I also noticed that my devices get really warm after charging on this. I’m not sure if that is a cause for concern but it did throw me off when I charged my watch which never gets warm on the factory charger.One charger to charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max, Apple Watch and AirPods 2? Finally! And it’s slim and folds up easily for travel. While it was hard to get a picture with all 3 charging, they definitely were charging and were super easy to place down and start charging. This thing is a bargain at under $40. I brought it to work and people were asking where it was from and if it was by Apple. It’s really nice quality and lives on my nightstand. There is a “night light” that you double tap to turn on which is nice as you won’t accidentally turn it on. Works great for travel and for home to keep that clean simple look with as few cords as possible. Highly recommend!
