The book tells the story of two inventors that joined efforts to help win the WWII. But due to many factors, including that one was a female Hollywood star and the other an avant garde musician, their invention actually helped create the technology that enabled WiFi, Cell Phones, and lots of military applications. The personal story of both inventors, Hedy Lamarr and George Antheil, is enough to deserve a book, but the author also shows how several inventions evolve in parallel and it's the agregate of several inventions that creates new technologies. A very interesting reading, good both for those who like Hollywood gossip, and for those who want to know how technology evolves.
