I read somewhere when deciding on best rechargeable battery to get that they tested each brand by having like, an electric toothbrush on for like X amount of time and judging it by that well, I'm not a rechargeable battery conessour by any means, so take it for what it is. I had my electric lil shaver start at 7:15 pm and that thing was still going well past midnight. ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠˘⁠_⁠˘⁠)⁠┌Really like being able to put 1 to 4 batteries in and not having to do them in pairs. My old charger would only do them in pairs and my main battery using device uses 3, so I would have to run two sets of batteries through to get an even number of batteries to charge. This does them individually. Also nice if you have different brands of batteries. I mainly use AAA, but this will do AA too.I like how you can recharge both AAA and AA batteries, that it shows you when the battery is fully charged, and that you can charge uneven number of batteries and maybe even batteries of different brands and types. But one thing that I don't like about this battery charger is that you have to squat or kneel down until your head is two feet from the ground and in directly in front of the LED panel to clearly see the LED markings. It would make more sense to angle the LED panel up 45 degrees so a person standing can see it better or only have to hunch over a little.I like this charger overall, but its hard to remove the batteries. I have to use a screwdriver to pry them out.I searched for a low cost charger that would charge at close to C1, This one charges one AA at 2000 ma, close enough to C1, although it drops to 1000ma for two AA, and 500ma for 4 AA. Many of these small chargers are limited to around 500ma charge current, meaning 5 hours to charge one drained battery. C1, the recommended NiMh charge rate, means the battery would charge in one hour.The AC plug has resistance when closing that worries me it may break so it is left open.Customer service responded to my concern that the charger was defective. I was getting an error code on the device. They promptly sent me a new one thinking that would solve the problem. I was still getting the same error. So I decided to order EBL batteries to try instead of using the Amazon basics that I had. That worked! So I recommend using only EBL batteries with the device.Just what I needed as my old Panasonic charger broke after years of use. I like the meter showing the progress of charging.Very good purchase.
