Quality is goodThis phone holder is very well-made. I've used it for the last 2 weeks and it is rock solid, easy to read through, and is easily touch-sensitive. The 3 plastic tabs that hold it closed are a little tight at first, but it gets better and provides a really solid seal.The measurements for the holder are incorrect, it will not fit around my phone, which is 5.2 inches.Installs perfectly on the handle bars of my e-scooter, and I can mount it where it doesn’t interfere with the folding action. Pretty intuitive to install, and grips securely. There is a removable gasket to let you switch between waterproof and cushioned for smaller phones, vs more room for larger phones but not waterproof/ not cushioned.The interior space is very limited. My 6.4 inch phone doesn’t fit, while my shorter 5.8 inch phone fit without the gasket. My 5” phone fits with the gasket, though all 3 require removing the 3rd party protective case first. I’m not too concerned about water proofing because my E-scooter is a fair weather vehicle, but even then it’s not protected against unforecast rain or of the scooter ends up inside a body of water. The benefit of not having the waterproof gasket is better cooling for your phone, an air tight case is more conducive to overheating especially at low speeds.Thanks to standardization, the center charging hole fits perfectly. The touch screen requires some effort to really get through the resistive layer to the phone’s own capacitive touch screen.The case and joints seem like pretty thin plastic, which should hold up fine for daily use. I am not confident how this will hold up in an accident although if you crash as a biker, the survivability of your phone is likely the least of your worries.There is a window on the back for your front camera so if you want to record your trip from your phone, you can rotate the phone vertically and record what’s in front. That said the only way to loosen/tighten the grip in order to rotate your phone up or down beyond the relatively limited angles of the ball hinge, is by loosening the hexagon screw (not doable by hand), so you will need to carry the appropriate tool on you.One problem is the lack of outside button access, so you may not be able to start/ wake the phone if it shuts down.Overall this is a great way to add visual navigation to your vehicle, though you should definitely verify the size of your phone before ordering.Buen materialI'm using this on a dualsport drz400s and it's very sturdy. The handlebar clamp is high quality and made from aluminum and doesn't budge. The phone holder itself is thin and somewhat flexible, it does a great job of locking the phone in. I ride hard, I've jumped, crashed it and hit high speeds in rocky terrain and the unit didn't budge. It is waterproof and seems like it would give a small amount of impact protection. It's light and not very bulky and seems like it would be easy to accidentally break the door off he hinges if you bumped into it while it's open. The fingerprint scanner still works and the device can be used with gloves on while in the case. This is exactly what I needed and so far I'm happy with it. I'm using the small size 6.1inch unit with a Galaxy S10 and it's a perfect fit.Case does a good job fitting my S21 with existing protector without issue.My only negative for mounting on my motorcycle is that for clearance and spacing available on my bars I need to mount it on a section of bar facing sideways, therefore with the limitation of the single ball I can't get enough movement to turn the case towards me to properly view phone when in case.If there could be a ball to ball extension arm to increase mounting flexibility, that would be the final addition to make this the 5 star rating.If you want to keep your own phone case on while using this mount, look somewhere else, this mount/holder will not fit your case and phone together . I didn't like that.... I don't want to always take my phone case off just to use the mount.Fits my old phone very well.
