As the two previous reviewers have noted, the springs in the clamps, are indeed too tight or compact. That being said, you could wall mount your phone in this clamp at 90 degrees if you so wished. This is my second purchase of this platform. The first lasted 13 years. Then the plastic/resin became brittle. While removing the phone from the platform to replace some internal batteries, one of the clamps broke off. I had grabbed it at the top and the old plastic/resin snapped. Simply top grabbed the other clamp bent and pulled. It easily snapped off. Used double sided to secure phone until this replacement arrived. If you need a platform in order to position a led/lcd or other display; the numerous positions of this platform would satisfy the most discriminating. And perhaps create a little envy amongst co-workers. Who would always been seen as late-comers.Because my phone has tapered sides, the clips just pop it off the platform.I think I can machine a couple 'clip attachments' to solve it...I had to modify this product in order to make it work. I shaved/sawed off the side clamps with a small hand saw because the tension on the clamps was too much. I put an elastic band around the phone and the stand to hold the phone in place. Works perfectly! I suggest the manufacturer take note, and modify the product.Works like a charm. Mounted it on the end of my desk, which abuts wife's desk, now both of us have easy access to the house phone.Item came in the mail without all the parts and it was busted .... didn’t realize till now when my handy man came to put my desk and items together .... don’t waste ur moneyThis product broke the second day it was in use. Plastic attachment from phone deck to arm broke making it unusable. Not happy at all!The best phone arm in the business. I have to ship it in to Australia it is so goodUnfortunately, the phone arm only lasted about 3 months before the plastic piece that holds the base to the arm broke. The phone is in a location where we have multiple users so I will need something that is sturdier than this phone arm. It may work well if it's on a personal desk with only one person using it carefully, but I definitely will replace it with something much sturdier.
