With the pandemic, I'm fortunate enough not to have to venture much into the world, so I don't drive much. I found that when I did need to go somewhere, the car battery had discharged. Luckily, I have a car jump starter (TACKLIFE T8 800A, which is AWESOME), but it's not optimal to jump the battery every time I need to go somewhere, plus you have to keep the car running for a while after a jump start, so it will start again (or jump start it again so you can get home, which I can't imagine is good for the battery).I happen to run across an ad for one of these types of chargers, which I had never heard of or had need of before, so I looked into them. I found it's the perfect solution to my problem. This device keeps a charge in my battery, for extended periods of time, so the car starts when I need it.Please note that this does not charge a battery from 0, it simply keeps the battery from discharging. If you're in the same situation I was in, where I had to jump start the car first, you need to let the car run/drive around for 20-30 minutes and make sure the car will start again after you shut it off. Then use this float charger to keep that charge. Also - never start the car while the charger is connected and it's still plugged into the outlet.
