I've had an off brand 80w charger that will do 6amps charge for a couple years. Works ok but gets hot and makes me nervous. Although this one says 100w it only charges at 5amp max. Now that being said I think they charge in close to the same time and this one does so with a different method that seems better for the cells. Not to mention the cooling fan keeps the whole thing from seeming disconcertingly hot. So for safety and battery longevity I think this is the charger for me.Losing a star just cuz I was hoping for some more amps.The charger works great. The one issue I had was that the instructions didn't tell you how to start charging the battery, it took me almost 20min. To figure it out.Build quality is top notch and it charges my limh and lipo batteries quietly and most importantly low temperature.to use this item, its obviously not the products problem but my own.So far I have charged, discharged, and "stored" some 2 and 3 S lipos with this charger, which is the first legit charger that I've owned. I haven't really had an opportunity to run any of my RCs yet with a battery that I charged using this charger though, so this is more of an initial review. But everything seems to be working fine. I watched a YouTube review/quick start video by Captain Drone before I made my purchase.Great charger for the price. See these guys go for 60+ at local hobby shops. The cell tester is a must have with rc cars as well as a cell balancer. You can fast or store charge your batteries and keep a memory of your batteries. Easy to program and a breeze to use highly recommend this charger for any rc enthusiastEasy to use after watching instructional video..the instructions provided arent real clear on how to start the charging process after program battery specs.This charger failed to stop charging a 5200 mah 3s lipo. When the battery reached full charge the charger did not stop and kept going. Luckily I was watching and stopped it so the battery did not get over 4.22V per cell.
