Not as slanted as picture showsGreat for work computer. Drawer is really light to pull. Put a rubber protector ontop if you dont want nicks in the blacktop.We have a huge Epson Workforce 7710 all in one printer. It sits on a two drawer file cabinet and I was looking for something to raise it up but to also add some storage for ink and paper. This worked perfectly and it brought home how annoying things were without it. I would definitely purchase it again.This thing is just awesome!!!it raises the laptop to an angle that is far more comfortable than it was before the stand, it is solidly built, the price was within my budget, the screening does NOT seem to weaken the structure in the least, yet, the air flow to the fans to keep my laptop cool have increased a ton.There is a cord keeper for the back of the stand(this item is included) & a place for a USB Hub/electrical outlet be mounted(that is extra - does NOT come with). these 2 things can make it a lot easier for some people, however I doubt that I will ever need them.UPDATE: I have had this for about 2 years & I can tell you that even though it does not bounce too good(I dropped it on the floor) it STILL does what it is designed to do.mine is a wee bit bent, but as I said earlier, it does not bounce too good.In the 2 yrs that I have had this, it has performed flawlessly...even after dropping iton the floor.the only thing I have had to do with this stand, is replace the pads so it does not scratch the furniture...but I made my pads from a mouse pad, I did not buy new pads.I highly recommend this stand to anyone needing one!If there is but 1 complaint, it is a minor one for me & trivial as well.there is a rod that allows you to adjust the tilt of the stand, that rod was missing from mine...but after trying the stand, I do not really need that rod, so for me anyway, it's all good, but when you buy this stand, check to make sure all parts are there.Over all, this is is great buy & a great laptop stand.Update 17/MARCH/2013: I have had this laptop stand for over a year now, & this thing is, in my humble opinion, basically bomb proof! what I mean is, in the past year I have moved twice, dropped the stand numerous times, and been quite rough with it...it has never bent out of shape, does not have 1 scratch on it, has never failed to do the job it was designed for...if you need a great laptop stand, that is durable as a tank (without the weight), will never fail you, look no further than the Rolodex Laptop Stand. Like the old Timex Watch commercials: "Takes a licking & keeps on ticking."If I ever need any office supplies, I know exactly where to go & I encourage everyone else to do so as well...you will never be disappointed.I often spend hours combing through records I keep in three ring binders. This stand is very good for that. Unlike many book stands, it does not have any annoying little clips to hold the pages of the book in place. Due to its solid nature, it doesn't fold as flat as one might desire, but I it is not monstrous, either. I can and do pack it in my large briefcase to work outside of my office.But there are three improvements Rolodex should make to this product. These improvements would be good for those of us who use the stand for three ring binders, and I think they would also be good for those who use the stand for laptops and tablets.First, there are two tabs on the bottom edge that hold up your laptop or three ring binder or whatever. Those tabs should stick out just a little bit farther so that you have a nice wide support.Second, I don't see why they use two tabs instead of one long continuous support from one end to the other. Using a continuous ledge would make it possible to use this to support some of the smaller tablets if you were so inclined. And it would be more forgiving for those who have smaller laptops or netbooks, or if you wanted to use the stand to read a flimsy magazine.Third, the support brace that you use to adjust the angle should be attached to the top and loose at the bottom instead of loose at the top and attached at the bottom. Having the top end loose means that the whole thing will easily collapse if you jostle the stand while you are adjusting the angle. If the support brace were attached at the top (hanging down) and you jostle it, the stand would not collapse so easily. It would simply fall one level. (I know this because I have a similar stand that has the support brace attached to the top. Unfortunately, I can't find that particular version anywhere anymore).Overall, I do recommend this product. I just think they could do a bit better without increasing the cost one dime.Really good product. Very sturdy, works great. My laptop no longer feels hot. Highly recommended!been using over a year now and still find it comfortable to use when typing at keyboardAs described, just the jobI actually bought this to support my Ableton Push musical equipment and it works superbly.This could be a great item. But: the black paint was chipped of at two corners (minor thing) and the stand that hold the unit at an angle was slightly bent: as a result the unit does not stand when at the lowest angle (as the bent leg holds it only on one side).A bit of forcing it and using hot glue solved the issue - but this is definitely not impressive. I will keep it, as with hot glue it works. But it is for sure not 5 stars...
